The 4M50 type of reciprocating hydrogen compressors at continuous reforming unit of a refinery were in low dis-charge rate after overhauled and returned to work. The failure phenomenon was described in this paper. Combining overhauling condition and the whole pipe network system of the compressor, the reasons were analyzed in detail. Finally the solution mea-sures were provided.
