By analyzing the concept of the green industry and its scientific content, the character-istics and progress of the green industry System at home and abroad were showed. A green indus-trial system were described in detail which led by green energy, energy conservation, rural envi-ronmental protection, recycling economy and ecological agriculture in Weihai, summarized Weihai used regional advantages and geographical conditions to develop green industries including eco-citycreate activities such as the combination of the green industry system into the national econom-ic and social development planning, increase key technology research and accelerate the creation of green industry industrial Park. Those initiatives promoted the development of green industry and provided a useful reference for the other cities using green industry development opportunities to revitalize regional economies.
