This paper, based on the introduction of risk identification and systematic and comprehensive analysis of the refitted diesel-LNG fuel ships, identifies different kinds of potential risks concerning safety of refitted diesel-LNG fuel ships and uses the method of fault tree and event tree to analyze the possible consequences concerning fire accidents relating to engine-room and LNG tanks, with a view to providing relevant methods to prevent accidents.
