Reading is one of the objectives and also an important means of language learning. Moreover, the reading ability is the foundation and prerequisite for the development of other language and learning skills. Extensive reading focuses on the reading interests of hearing-impaired students and reducing the complicated explanations of teachers to voluntary reading of students, therefore attaching great importance to teachers’ guidance in reading process and skills is vital. By increasing the reading time and quantity, extensive reading can help improve the reading comprehension abilities of hearing-impaired students and lay a foundation for the development of language abilities.
