The exciting forces acted on the ship traveling in wave are not only from the wave, but also from the machines. In order to analyze the hull vibration, characteristics of the exciting forces from the working machines should be studied firstly. The paper introduces an analysis method. By 3D hydroelasticity method, equivalent exciting force of the machine on the ship can be accurately evaluated according to both the mechanical impedance of the bases of the machines and the tested acceleration data of the machines in working state.
