Person-job matching is not only the basic principle of vocational guidance, but also the behavior to ap-ply for a job under this guidance. At the beginning of the 20th century, as the vocational guidance raised in the U-nited States, person-job matching was propounded, then the classical theory was gradually formed. After 1990s, the theory began to decline, or was integrated into a more complex career decision theory and method. Person-job matching reveals the special relationship between people and their career, and is also the precondition for individ-uals to realize their own value and the basic way for enterprises to promote the efficiency of human resource allo-cation. Of course, person-job matching also has the limitations of technical basis,of time and region, etc.There is delicate relationship between person-job matching and the contemporary vocational education.
