[ ] Objective To investigate the expressions of Ki-67 and EGFR in tongue squamous cel carcinoms treated by PF induction chemotherapy and their clinical significance. Methods Expressions of Ki-67 and EGFR were determined by im-munohistochemistry in 64 patients with tongue squamous cel carcinoma before and after PF induction chemotherapy. Results The overal response rate to induction chemotherapy was 81.2%. The response rate of patients with positive Ki-67 or EGFR ex-pression were higher than that with negative Ki-67 and Ki-67 expression before induction chemotherapy (P<0.05). The expres-sion of Ki-67 or EGFR were significantly reduced after induction chemotherapy (P<0.05). Conclusion The expression of Ki-67 and EGFR may be of predictive value for PF induction chemotherapy and inductive chemotherapy may affect Ki-67 and EGFR expression in patients with tongue squamous cel carcinoma.
