Contact stress of roller and dummy bar has been calculated .By comparing the difference of traditional calculation formula with finite element calculation stress values results , the reasonable pressure value of hydraulic sys-tem and applicable dummy bar configuration have been obtained , which provided theoretical basis and reference data for design, commissioning and production of dummy bar .
