The security, stability and transmission rate of data are depended on the communication mode between the cen-tralized communication control center and the cascade hydropower stations.The design of the communication channel struc-ture between the centralized communication control center (from Yalong River)and the cascade hydropower stations have been introduced, and the advantages and disadvantages of the communication channel structure have been analyzed.
