    This paper interprets the connotation of national scientific qualities and analyzes the current situation of chemistry education and the STS teaching goals in vocational schools. It proposes to carry out STS education in chemistry education on the basis of the characteristics of vocational school students. The necessities are discussed and some ideas are put forward to improve the chemistry qualities in vocational schools.
