该研究选取《羊城晚报》2010年343篇农民工报道作为内容分析样本,以考察农民工的媒介形象.研究发现,《羊城晚报》对农民工的关注度较高,报道多以政府为主位视角;《羊城晚报》所呈现的农民工形象以接受关爱的“沐恩者”为主,正在积极建构理性的农民工形象,对农民工的报道有简单化的倾向,但存在着刻板印象,“妖魔化”的成分逐渐减少.

In order to examine the media image of the migrant workers, this content analysis is made on the basis of 343 re-ports about migrant workers selected from Yangcheng Evening News in 2010. The results show that:Yangcheng Evening News had a very deep concern for the migrant workers and most of the reports were made from the perspective of government; the media images of the migrant workers Yangcheng Evening News presents are mainly “persons being cared” ; Yangcheng Evening News was ac-tively building a rational image of migrant workers. However, the results also show that some reports about migrant workers had a tendency of simplification and were of stereotype; “demonizing” parts in the reports were decreasing gradually.
