@@@@Regulatory planning is the most direct legal basis for urban planning implementation governance. Meanwhile, it will be the key approach for realizing the idea of low carbon and ecology development effectively. Therefore, this article will introduce the approaches for responding the requirements of low carbon and ecology development systematically via the practice of eco-city demonstration area in Wuxi in several aspects, which will include urban spatial structure optimizing, transport organization, eco-settlement, resource utilization, saving energy, reducing carbon emission and block development .The article aims to invent the col eagues of urban planning aspect to force on and argue this vital concept idea of“low carbon and eco-development”comprehensively, systematical y and deeply.
