This paper defined the postgraduate supervisor as the primary liable in educating ideologically the postgraduates and expounded the role the supervisor plays in educating ideologically the postgraduates. A mechanism that takes the supervisor as the primary liable in educating ideologically the postgraduates must be based on developing the supervisors, improving their quality, defining their responsibilities, establishing a collaborative and monitoring system, and improving the supervisor evaluation system.
