文学叙事聚合了有着相同背景的社会成员,促进集体自我的形成.有关民族的文学叙述表征了被称之为“想象共同体”的民族认同.早期史诗式的文学叙事既能帮助巩固民族国家的民族意识,又是本民族认同的精神资源.上世纪初中国文学对民族性的强调就是试图诉诸一种强烈的国家、民族情感,以此唤醒国人的民族认同与民族救亡意识.文学叙事成为民族认同建构的话语表达.

Literary narration draws together members of similar social backgrounds and pushes forward the formation of collective self. National literary narration representation is called “imaginary community”of national identification. The early epic literary narration helped consolidate the national awareness of a nation and at the same time the spiritual source of national identification. The stress on nationality in Chinese literature in the beginning of the last century was to resort to a strong national, state emotion in order to call up the awareness of national identification and national survival. Literary narration is thus a direct discourse expression of constructing the national identification.
