English specialty of distance education has the problem of high dropout rates. According to the dropout study on English majors of 2010 spring of SCRTVU, learning difficulties are reasons for English majors to give up study. Taking English at Work as the subject of teaching design, researchers propose that course guiding system be adopted and network technology be used for providing learning support service to help learners accomplish their learning tasks.
