The accuracy measurement of dielectric constant is very important because dielectric constant and dielectric loss tangent are important parameters during printed circuit boards design and production process of boards’ application performance. This paper describes the principles, standards and related apparatus of several high-frequency dielectric constant measurement methods currently used, and analysis of theirs strengths and weaknesses, as well as the development trend of measurement technology.
