The preparing methods of polymeric ferric chloride were overviewed, discussing the application of polymeric ferric chloride in treatment of cold rolling wastewater, Pharmaceutical wastewater, high concentration Tin-plating wastewater and Papermaking wastewater, the disadvantages in practical application of polymeric ferric chloride were summarized, and their future development was also prospect.
