The development of economic and the progress of social promote the continuous progress and development of people's living environment. People's quality of life is improv-ed, and the living environment is improving day by day. This article began from the development and evolution of residenti-al area, analyses the trend of residential design development, mainly from two aspects of ecological residential area and resi-dential area, the purpose is to provide guidance and reference for the design of residential areas, and promote the healthy de-velopment of residential design.
