Building an ecological livable environment has be-come a goal that people pursuit, and the greening is an impor-tant part, the successful plant selection is the key to the success of residential landscape. The author analyzes the main proble-ms of the green plant cultivation in the residential area, puts forward the principles of plant selection, and introduces the co-nfiguration mode of the plant in the residential area.
