Chaozhou ancient songs are national non-material cultural heritages. Documents’collection plays a basic role in their protection while libraries are incumbent on this job. The article analyses the current situation of Chaozhou ancient songs and the significance of documents’collection. It also proposes some appro?priate ways to collect various kinds of documents of the songs and some ideas as well as strategies on the data?base construction.
