Along with the industrial transformation and upgr-ading of Dongguan, a new round of comprehensive planning of Dongguan towns al wil take building big center or strong central district as the core and key of urban spatial develop-pment strategy. This paper takes Xiegang “big centers” bu-ilding as an example, to discuss the development trend and planning strategy of a new round of Dongguan’s urban center district under the background of transformation.
