This paper introduced the test method and pass criteria of overload behavior of surger protective device (SPD)which was used in the DC side of photovoltaic system.The overload behavior test was conducted with the DC source facility in the laboratory.The experimental results the piezoresistor should be selected accurately,so the current which flows through the SPD makes the disconnector action within the stipulated time,to avoid the SPD burning.
