The gypsum rain and fog phenomenon exists in thermal power plants with FGD. The manifestations of gypsum rain and fog are explained based on the composition and state of the flue gas. lt presents the formation way in the absorber,flue chimneys and atmosphere. Six governance elements are analyzed,involving solid parti-cles,liquid water,chimney condensate water,environmental condensate water and mist. The comprehensive and systematical control measures are proposed from the points of the absorber,flue and chimney. The advantages and disadvantages of various measures are analyzed.
