The quality of cabin environment is one of the important indicators of the overall ifghting ability for a warship. It has a direct impact on the integrated performance of a warship through affecting the physiological function and the psychological activities of the crew. This paper reviews the cabin environment of the foreign surface warships from the factors of habitability, color, lighting, air environment, noise and new materials. It introduces the foreign research hotspots and advanced the technologies, which can provide references for the design and construction of the cabin environment for the surface warships at home.
