清代诗人孔贞瑄之诗文，在后世有一定影响。然学界对其生卒年却语焉不详。特别是卒年，一直付之阙如。文章通过查考大量清代方志和其它文献资料，认为孔贞瑄生于明崇祯七年（1634年），卒于清康熙五十五年（1716年），享年八十三岁。对孔氏生平事迹亦有所考订。
청대시인공정선지시문，재후세유일정영향。연학계대기생졸년각어언불상。특별시졸년，일직부지궐여。문장통과사고대량청대방지화기타문헌자료，인위공정선생우명숭정칠년（1634년），졸우청강희오십오년（1716년），향년팔십삼세。대공씨생평사적역유소고정。
The Qing Dynasty poet Kong Zhen‐xuan's works have certain influence on later generations . However ,his birth and death years are not clear ,especially the death year .Through studying large number of local records in the Qing Dynasty and other literatures ,Kong Zhen‐xuan is found born in the 7th year of Emperor Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty (1634) ,and dead in the 55th year of Emperor Kangxi in Qing Dynasty (1716) at the age of 83 .Some textual researches of the poet's life are also made .
