This paper compares the several different detection method for the box lack on the sealing machine and introduces the principle and characferistics of the machine vision defection technology which is used to detect the cigaretle box lack. This technology and the black hole image processing technology are used in the detection system to judge the lack and remove the cigaretle box. The cigaretle box packaging hardness, color and brand of cigarette are not detected in this system, Its detection accuracy is high.
