作为新康德主义主要代表人物的卡西尔，提出人、符号、文化的概念。认为人是“符号”的动物、文化是“符号”的形式、人类的活动是一种“符号”的活动、人的本质更应该从全面发展的功能性着手。这对于横跨众多学科领域，并且以田野考察、跨文化比较研究、释义学研究的教育人类学有着积极借鉴作用。

As the main representative of the neo -Kantian ,Cassirer proposed the concepts of hu‐mans ,symbols and culture ,thinking that man was the animals of "symbol",while culture was the form of "symbol"and human activities exist in the form of human"symbol".So human nature should proceed from the function of comprehensive development .These views have a positive influence on anthropolo‐gy ,which ranges with many subject fields connected with s field trips ,cross -cultural comparative re‐search and Hermeneutics .
