设计了基于ARM9 S3C2416嵌入式人脸检测系统，实现了Adaboost算法完成人脸检测，在对实际的监控视频数据进行测试的结果表明：该系统具有运算速度快、体积小、功耗低、成本低、检测率较高及误检率低等特点，可以推广到视频监控、视频目标跟踪、视频压缩存储等领域中。

This paper designs an embedded face detection system based on ARM9 S3C2416,and a face detection algorithm based on AdaBoost is adopted to implement the system.The experimental results over the data of actual video surveil ance show that our system has some merits.lt not just has a high detection rate,a low false detection rate,and high operation speed but mains low power consumption,a smal size,and a low cost.The designed system is suitable for using in the areas such as the video surveil ance,the video target tracking,and the compressed video storage,etc.
