基于模块化多电平换流器(modular multilevel converter,MMC)的统一潮流控制器(unified power flow controller,UPFC)有谐波特性好、易于模块化设计、体积紧凑和不需要器件直接串联等优点,适用于高压大容量的输电领域,可提高线路输电容量,改善系统暂态稳定,优化潮流,降低网络损耗,受到了广泛重视。基于MMC的UPFC的动态模型是理解其工作原理和设计控制器的基础,分层次地逐步建立MMC型的UPFC开关周期平均模型和简化开关周期平均模型,并通过仿真验证模型的合理性;最后在RTDS上对MMC型UPFC进行内部动态特性仿真,对仿真结果进行详细分析,仿真和分析结果表明基于MMC的UPFC的串联侧和并联侧内部动态有很大的差异,该结论和所建立的动态模型得到相互印证。

The unified power flow controller (UPFC) based on modular multilevel converter (MMC) has good harmonic characteristics, on which it is simple to implement modular design. It also has the advantages of compact volume and no need to connect power semiconductor devices in series. It is applied to the field of high-voltage large-capacity power transmission. And it can improve transmission capacity of lines and system transient stability; optimize power flow to reduce network losses. Thus it receives much attention. The dynamic modeling of UPFC based on MMC is the key to revealing its working principle and designing the controller. Cycle by cycle switch average model and simplified cycle by cycle switch average model of UPFC based on MMC are gradually established and verified by simulation. Finally the simulation by RTDS about internal characteristic of UPFC based on MMC is conducted, and the simulation results are analyzed in detail. Simulation and analysis results show that the internal characteristics of the parallel and series parts of the UPFC based on MMC are quite different, and this conclusion and the dynamic modeling mutually verify each other.
