Compensation chain is one of the important configurations of high speed elevator. The traction conditions, the tension difference of traction rope and the equivalent weight change theory were analyzed by the article. Thus, it got the relationship of density between compensation chain, traction rope and the cable. And instances were provided to insure the basis for compensation chain configured correctly.
