In order to meet the new requirements of the hybrid electric vehicle, lead-carbon battery technology born. Lead-carbon battery is a new type of lead-acid batteries, in which carbon materials are added to the negative active materials. It has a good prospect in electric vehicles and energy, etc. This paper discusses the development process of lead-carbon battery technology, the impact of different types of carbon materials on the battery performance and the generated questions.
