语言是文化的载体，学习者只有对文化背景知识有较充分的认识，才能熟练、准确、得体地使用英语。高职教育培养的是技术、生产、管理、服务等领域的高等应用型专门人才，所以教师需要结合高职学生将来的工作，对文化信息进行筛选、舍取，对文化内容要有选择地讲解，高职英语文化输导内容应体现“实用为主、够用为度”的原则。

Language is the carrier of culture. Only by understanding the cultural background knowledge can one use the lan-guage proficiently,correctly and appropriately. The obj ective for higher vocational education is to train practical talents in pro-duction,technology,service,management,etc.So in cultural education teachers should adhere to the guidelines of practical ap-plication preference and sufficient degree,highlighting the usefulness and application of teaching contents.
