Synthetic technique of dicyclopentadiene ( DCPD ) and unsaturated polyester resin ( UPR ) were narrated.Influencing factors and product properties of the technological conditions were discussed, including mixing procedure, compare to raw material, purity of DCPD and reaction temperature.The biggest influence factor was DCPD/MA ratio.The second influence factor was the reaction temperature.The mixing procedure affected the activity of resin, and purity of DCPD had no effect.The optimal process was determined by using experiment.AM/PM ratio should be greater than 1 , DCPD/AM=0.5~0.6 , and reaction temperature was 200 ℃.
