英汉对比作为核心理论对翻译有着重要的影响，英汉对比学是一个内涵很广的概念，英语与汉语的结合必然会使语言与语境，语域，文化习俗等多个因素相关联，而翻译又是对语言的研究，所以英汉对比学对翻译的指导作用深远而强大。张培基散文中《父亲》一文的英语译本很好地体现了英汉对比学对翻译的指导作用。从英汉对比角度出发，以《父亲》英译本为例分析其翻译方法和策略，总结文学作品汉英翻译技巧。

In accordance with core theory ,the comparison between English and Chinese contexts has an im‐portant influence on the quality of translation .This theory of E‐C contrast ,is a concept with many per‐spectives and is bound up with many factors such as context ,cultural customs etc ..It therefore plays a pro‐found role in C‐E translation .T he use of the term"Father"in the English version of Zhang Peiji's prose is a good example that demonstrates this connection .In this thesis ,via the analysis of the term"Father"in Eng‐lish version and from the perspective of E‐C Contrast ,tactics for literary translation are presented for use in practical translation .
