This paper analyses the current situation and the advantages and characteristics of SDN technology in optical communication network of electric power, points out that the current electric power optical communication problem, and then analyses the application requirements and application scenarios of SDN technology in electric power communication network. Finally, combined with the characteristics of electric power communication network, the application strategy of SDN technology in future power optical communication network is proposed.
