This Paper introduces a new trans-ducer for length and angle measurements(the char-acteristic and principle of steel grating ruler based on inductance theory ), lists the advantages and disadvantages of general angular transducers,and discusses the process of accurate angle measure-ments for great axis of radar by steel grating ruler. The engineering experience has proved that steel grating ruler is very suitable for large scale angle and length measurements with high precision.
