The drafting process of standard for the electrically calcined anthracite for cathode blocks was introduced. The explaina-tion for the indexes in the standard, such as the ash content, specific resistance, true density was made, and the indexes not unlisted in the standard, including the fixed carbon content, sulfur content and the intensity of the electrically calcined anthracite were also illustrated.
