To realize power sustainable development and the strategic target of energy-saving and emission-reduc-tion, the power source structure must be optimized by vigorously developing hydropower, nuclear power, wind power and other clean and renewable energies, and scientifically developing coal power in compliance with local conditions. Pumped storage power station, as the powerful regulation tool in modern power system realizing by peak cutting and valley filling, phase and frequency modulating etc., plays a significant role in optimizing power structure, developing large-scale clean energy and in safe operation of power system of Guangxi.
