对漂浮量词结构的一些语言现象进行解释，得出以下结论：量词漂浮是由名词左移而不是由量词右移导致的；量词左向嫁接到其所修饰的名词短语上；量词不可以在论元指派位置(θ position)嫁接到名词短语上，只能在非论元指派位置嫁接到名词短语上；在量词漂浮结构的生成中，名词短语通过移位到达表层位置，而量词直接嫁接插入至表层位置，量词不发生冗余并移(superfluous pied piping)，也不需并移后再漂浮。类似的两个漂浮量词结构具有不同的底层结构，而不是相同底层结构。

The thesis tries to interpret some linguistic facts in English Floating Quantifier construc-tion.With our analysis,we find that,floating quantifiers are generated by leftward movement of Noun Phase (NP),not by rightward movement of Quantifier Phrase (QP);Quantifiers are left-adj oined to NP which they modify;Quantifiers cannot be adjoined to NP inθ position;As for the generation of Quantifier floating Structure,NPs arrive at Surface structure by movement,while quantifiers are in-serted to Surface structure by adj unction.Superfluous pied-piping is not allowed,and floating after pied-piping is also not allowed.Two similar quantifier-floating structures have two different deep structures,not one same deep structure.
