语言是文化的一部分，并对文化起着重要作用。称谓语不仅仅是语言的一部分，也是文化的一部分。它反映出人们的社会角色、社会地位、人际关系和价值观；也传达出人们丰富的情感信息。从人们熟悉的称谓语的使用和意义的对比分析中了解中英称谓语的差异，有助于更好地理解中西文化，加强跨文化交流。

Language is a part of culture and plays a very important role in it. The address form is not only a part of language, but also a kind of culture. It reflects people’s social roles, social position, their relationships and values; it conveys implicit and rich emotional information as well. From the comparative analysis of usages and meanings of address forms between Chinese and Eng?lish which people are familiar with, we can understand the Chinese and English better and strengthen the intercultural communi?cation.
