The State of the Union address is about the situation faced by America at home and abroad, and the action the govern?ment is about to take. It uses the theory of identification via rhetorical content to analyze the State of the Union Address of 2014. It found that identification via rhetorical content runs through the State of the Union address and plays an important role in achieving identification.
