The renaissance of DC system promotes the progress of DC interruption technologies.First of all,this paper introduced the new demands for DC switches according to its application area to be expanded,then the difference between DC and AC interruption characteristics was analyzed,especially,non-stable phenomena to quenching DC arc is shown in the region of small DC current interruption.Based on the above analysis,some new DC interruption technologies and new types of DC circuit breakers were presented,including permanent magnet circuit breaker without polarity;DC circuit breaker derived from AC;gas filled DC circuit breaker;DC circuit breaker with artificial current zero produced by self-excitation oscillation circuit.
