The hierarchical structure of SDN and working principle of OpenFlow are introduced. The existing two typical authentication methods of broadband access network are analyzed, in the meantime, their implementations, network structures, advantages and disadvantages of the two authentication methods in broadband access network constructed by SDN technology are discussed. It is proved that IPoE authentication mode is more suitable for SDN broadband access network in the future.
