针对高速铁路无砟轨道等工程施工放样过程中已有控制点上不便于安置仪器的情况，提出了用全站仪自由设站法进行仪器的安置与设置后进行工程细部点位的放样，简述了全站仪自由设站法的原理、方法，并对全站仪自由设站法的精度进行了合理的分析，肯定全站仪自由设站法的可行性及优越性。

According to the situation of the difficulty in setting apparatus on existing control point during the process of construction setting out of high -speed railway ballast less track , we put forward the method of using total station free -stationing to setting appara-tus and to start setting out on project details point after apparatus installing ,we sketched the principle and technique of the method of total station free-stationing ,and we analyses the precision of the method of total station free -stationing in logic ,and we highly rec-ommended the feasibility and superiority of the method of total station free -stationing.
