The ongoing foreign-related tourism industry has put forward an urgent demand of upgrading the traditional higher vocational hotel English teaching mode. It is imperative to shift from traditional language ability fostering and improving to practical working ability improving. The teaching mode reform covers the adjustment of teaching strategies, innovation of textbooks and teaching methods. The exploration that aims at improving students’ practical working ability can not only perfect the higher vocational hotel English teaching links, but also will greatly contribute to the positive outcome of fostering more high quality foreign-related hotel talents.
