Yang Shi thought knowing benevolence, mind and internal tendencies as well as destiny were the bases for the cultivation of the mind, faithfulness and integrity were the keys to the cultivation of the mind, embodying the golden mean of the Confucian school through all the showed joys and sorrows of life and potential consciousness was the important way of the cultivation of the mind, and conforming to fate and consummating oneself and the nature were the goal of the cultivation of the mind. Yang Shi's mind philosophy was an important link in the inheritance and transition of Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasty.
