文本的应用性实际就是文本的信息性，应用性文本的翻译从本质上而言就是信息的跨文化识别、跨文化理解和跨文化表述。功能目的论要求译员识别文本功能，预判该文本功能在译入语文化语境中的实现情况，并恰当处理可能的文化盲点和认知错位，从而可以较好地实现文本功能的跨文化对接和文本信息的跨语言传递。此外，功能目的论要求译员树立良好的职业操守，在翻译业务产业化，翻译机构公司化以及翻译运作市场化的新背景下，对翻译职业道德构建亦具有一定的指导意义。

In view of applied translation,the defined character of the text is its being informative,and its translation therefore is the process of cross-culturally identifying,understanding and expressing its information. Functionalism advises that translators identify the function of the text as well as predicting whether the identified function will be realized or accepted in the targeted culture after translation,under the guidance of which,the iden-tified function will not be lost during translation and the information will be well delivered in the targeted language. Moreover,functionalism stresses that translators should hold good career morality,which helps translation industry and translators with establishment of well -accepted career morality as translation is developing into an industry with more and more translation firms established or transformed from traditional non -market translation institu-tions.
