Through consulting relevant data that about the asthma pathogenesis in Chinese and western medicine, summarized the common points of understandings of the two medicine to the pathogenesis of asthma, in order to investigate the relationship between TCM pathogenesis of"insidious sputum in lung"and airway inflammation theory in western medicine of asthma.
