This paper discusses reinforcement scheme for one cross-river inhaul cable oblique transmission tower built in the 1980s. By means of finite element analysis,the key force bearing point and construction load limiting value of this tower was determined. Furthermore,reinforcement measures for construction and operation were determined. The engineering was finished only in two months.
