In this paper, on the basis of a survey of the current status of the development of the barcode reading equipment and technology, we examined the management environment and operational characteristics of the small-package POL products and on such basis, analyzed in-depth the suitability of different types of barcode reading equipment in the warehousing management of small-package POL products.
